Allain Auffrey, 73, of Alphonse Street, Shediac, died Wednesday at Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital after a sudden illness. Born in Pré-d'en-Haut, he was a son of the late Emile and Alice (Belliveau) Auffrey. He attended St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Shediac.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Myra Auffrey; three daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Rachynsky (Alice) of Edmonton, Miss Marie Auffrey of Toronto and Miss Rita Auffrey of Halifax; three sons, Emile and Philip, both of Moncton, and Bernard of Shediac: a sister, Mrs. Joseph Landry (Lola) of Pré-d'en-Haut; three brothers, Edgar of Dieppe, Robert of Fox Creek and Paul of River Glade; and seven grandchildren. Two brothers, Dominique and Willie, died previously.
The body is at Frenette's Funeral Home, Shediac. Funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Shediac. lnterment will be in Pré-d'en-Haut Roman Catholic Cemetery in the spring.
